Setting Up a VPN on Your Device

  1. Choose a VPN Client: IllusionCloud supports OpenVPN clients. Download your preferred client from the official website or your device's app store.

    • With GUI: For most users, the OpenVPN GUI is recommended for ease of use.

    • Without GUI: Use OpenVPN CLI for advanced configurations.

  2. Import the Configuration File:

    • Log in to your IllusionCloud account and download the VPN configuration file (.ovpn).

    • Open the VPN client, navigate to the "Import Configuration" section, and upload the file.

  3. Connect to the VPN: Select the imported profile, enter your VPN credentials, and click "Connect."

  4. Verify Connection: Once connected, verify your public IP address by visiting an IP-checking website to ensure the VPN is active.

Pro Tip: If using a mobile device, ensure background apps do not disable the VPN connection.
